Play Daisenpuu – Twin Hawk Online
Call in your wingmen and weave through bullet hell—four planes firing at once turns the screen into pure, controlled chaos. Dodging feels slick even when explosions fill the sky.

Daisenpuu, known as Twin Hawk outside Japan, came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990. It was developed by Toaplan, a studio known for their straightforward shooters during that period. The game fits right in with the arcade style ports common on the system, offering a no frills vertical shooting experience without much pretense.
You pilot a World War II era style propeller plane, moving upward automatically while dodging enemy fire and ground targets. The main goal is simply to survive each stage, destroying everything in your path until you reach the end level boss. Two mechanics define the action: you can call in escort planes that fly in formation with you, multiplying your firepower significantly, and you also have a screen clearing bomb that wipes out all standard enemies and bullets when things get too crowded. The pacing is relentless, with enemy waves and projectiles increasing steadily the further you progress. It feels like a constant test of positioning and timing, where one wrong move can end a run abruptly. Controlling your formation and knowing when to use your bomb creates a tense, satisfying rhythm.
