Darkmere Disk1 came out in 1994 for the Amiga, developed by Core Design Ltd. It was part of that wave of isometric action-adventure games that tried to bring a deeper, more exploratory feel to the platform. You don't hear about it as much as some other titles from that year, but it had a certain moody atmosphere that stuck with players.

You control Ebryn, a warrior navigating screen by screen through a dark fantasy world. The main goal is to complete a series of quests that slowly reveal the story behind the cursed land of Darkmere. Combat relies on a sword that changes power based on your moral choices during play; you also use a bow for ranged attacks against orcs and other creatures. The pacing is deliberate, with a fair amount of backtracking and careful exploration required. It feels like a thoughtful, sometimes lonely trek through a world that doesn't want you to succeed.
