Game Overview
Death Mask on the Amiga is one of those weird, moody platformers that sticks with you. You play as this masked warrior navigating dark, gothic levels filled with traps and enemies that look like they crawled out of a nightmare. The controls take a second to get used to—jumping feels a little floaty at first—but once it clicks, the rhythm of combat and exploration is oddly satisfying.
The second disk (AGA version) sharpens up the visuals, giving the whole thing a smoother, creepier vibe. Some of the level designs are downright cruel, but in that classic Amiga way where you keep retrying just to see what’s around the next corner. The soundtrack? Pure eerie synth that fits the grim atmosphere perfectly.
It’s not for everyone, but if you like your platformers with a side of gothic weirdness, this one’s worth digging up.
