Game Overview
Deep Core_Disk3 is one of those Amiga games that starts with a simple premise—aliens invade an underwater base, and you’re the unlucky captain sent to clean up the mess—but quickly turns into a moody, atmospheric platformer. The first thing you’ll notice is how dark everything feels, almost like a sci-fi horror flick. You’ve got six weapons to choose from, and figuring out which one works best against which enemy is half the fun (the flamethrower’s weirdly satisfying once you upgrade it).
The levels are split into these sprawling, maze-like sections with hidden bonus areas that actually feel worth hunting down. It’s got that same deliberate, weighty movement as Gods, so don’t expect to zip around—every jump and shot has to count. By the time you hit the third level, you’ll either be hooked or rage-quitting at some of the enemy placements. No in-between.
