Deep Core Disk2 came out for the Amiga in 1993 from International Computer Entertainment Ltd. It was one of those solid action platformers that filled out the library during the system's later years, offering a mix of shooting and exploration without too much pretense. You control Captain Dawnrazer, sent to infiltrate a base overrun by hostile alien forces.

You move through nine levels, each broken into sub-sections with plenty of hidden areas to uncover. Your main goal is to fight through waves of alien enemies while searching for keycards to unlock new zones. You start with a basic blaster but can collect six different upgradable weapons, like spread shots and homing missiles, which help against tougher foes. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty builds steadily, especially in later stages where precise jumps and quick reactions are essential. It feels tense and rewarding when you finally clear a tricky room or discover a well-hidden power-up.
