Disney Pixar Pack for the Game Boy Advance is one of those little gems that makes you smile the second you boot it up. It’s basically a handful of Pixar worlds crammed into your GBA—each one surprisingly different. One minute you’re dodging jellyfish as Nemo, the next you’re throwing cars around as Mr. Incredible (which, honestly, never gets old).
The Monsters, Inc. level is my favorite—sprinting through doors while Randall chases you feels way more intense than it has any right to on a tiny screen. And yeah, the graphics are obviously simple, but they somehow still nail that Pixar charm. You can tell whoever made this actually cared about keeping the spirit of the movies intact.
It’s not perfect—some of the controls take a second to get used to—but if you grew up with these films, it’s hard not to love having them in your pocket. Just try not to grin when the little chiptune versions of the soundtracks kick in.
