Game Overview

Disney’s Tarzan on the Game Boy Advance is one of those licensed games that actually gets it right. You start off swinging through vines like you’d expect, but the controls feel surprisingly smooth—no clunky jumps or awkward landings. The sprites are colorful, and yeah, the music is definitely trying its best to sound like Phil Collins (which, honestly, is kind of charming).

What I didn’t expect was how much variety they packed in. One minute you’re dodging leopards, the next you’re sliding down trees like a jungle skateboard. There are even these little puzzle bits where you have to figure out how to get past obstacles, nothing too hard, but enough to keep it from being mindless. And the levels? They actually feel like scenes from the movie, which is rare for a GBA adaptation.

If you grew up with the film or just love old-school platformers, this one’s a solid pick. Just be warned: that soundtrack will stick in your head for days.
