Dog Trainer on GBA is one of those simple but oddly satisfying games where you're just trying to get a digital dog to listen to you. The first few minutes are all about basic commands - sit, stay, jump - but the timing feels just awkward enough that it actually mimics the frustration of training a real stubborn pup.
What surprised me was how the later levels escalate. Suddenly you're guiding your dog through obstacle courses with moving platforms and hazards, timing jumps between conveyor belts while also remembering to make them fetch items mid-run. It gets chaotic in a way that makes those early struggles feel worth it.
Dog Trainer isn't deep, but there's charm in its simplicity. The pixel art dogs have this goofy energy, especially when they mess up a trick and just stare at you like they have no idea what you wanted. It's a decent little time-waster if you like methodical platformers.
