Drake & Josh for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2007, published by THQ. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, built to cash in on a popular Nickelodeon show. The graphics use pre-rendered 3D sprites that were common at the time, giving it a particular look that hasn't aged especially well, but it fits right in with other mid-2000s handheld titles.
You primarily control Josh, navigating through side-scrolling levels to clean up the various problems Drake has caused. The main goal is to progress screen by screen, jumping across platforms, avoiding obstacles, and interacting with objects to solve simple puzzles. You also deal with Megan, who pops up occasionally to sabotage your progress. The platforming feels a bit stiff, and the collision detection can be unforgiving, making some sections more frustrating than challenging. Despite its flaws, moving through each stage captures the feeling of being stuck doing someone else's chores.
