Game Overview

Ever played one of those old arcade games where you're just trying to survive floor after floor of chaos? Druaga no Tou on Game Boy is basically that, but somehow even more charming in handheld form. You start at the bottom of this weird tower, armed with nothing but a sword and hope, and every floor feels like its own little puzzle—dodge traps, fight off floating eyes and slimes, and pray you find the right key before something kills you.

The arcade version was brutal, but this one gives you a fighting chance (barely). I love how the tiny sprites somehow ooze personality—the way enemies wiggle when they move, or how your character flinches when hit. It's got that perfect mix of simple controls and "just one more floor" energy. Found the Blue Crystal Rod yet? Good luck with that. Half the fun is figuring out which doors don't lead to instant death.

Honestly, it's a miracle this obscure port even exists, but I'm glad it does. Perfect for when you want something retro that won't completely destroy your thumbs.
