Game Overview
Duel Masters 2 on the GBA is basically the Japanese version of the card battler we never got overseas. It's got that same mix of creature summoning and spell slinging as the first game, but with way more cards and some tweaks to the rules that actually make combat flow better.
First thing you'll notice is how snappy the battles feel compared to other GBA card games—no endless menus, just quick attacks and counters. The AI isn't pushover-level either; I lost my first few matches because I kept underestimating how aggressive the CPU plays. The new "Rising Sun" cards add some wild effects too, like creatures that can swap places mid-battle or spells that mess with your opponent's mana.
If you're into the TCG but missed this one back in the day, it's a solid pickup for some portable dueling. Just be ready to squint at tiny card text.
