Dyter-07 came out in 1990 on the Amiga, developed by reLINE Software GmbH. It was part of that wave of action games that tried to do a bit of everything, mixing vehicle combat with run-and-gun elements. You don't hear it mentioned too often these days, but it had a certain ambition for its time, blending different play styles into one package.
You alternate between controlling a helicopter and a tank, switching perspectives between side-scrolling air combat and ground-based battles. Your main goal is to rescue scientists across eight levels, each culminating in a boss fight. The helicopter sections involve dodging enemy fire while shooting down aircraft; the tank segments are more methodical, requiring you to clear paths and manage tougher enemies. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can spike without much warning. Playing it feels like juggling two different games at once, never quite settling into a single rhythm.
