Game Overview
East Vs. West - Berlin 1948 is one of those classic Amiga games that throws you straight into Cold War tension. You’re managing supply lines and political influence in post-war Berlin, trying to outmaneuver the opposing side without tipping things into outright war. The interface feels a bit clunky now, but back then, the way it blended strategy with historical stakes was pretty gripping.
First time I played, I got way too aggressive with blockades and accidentally triggered a crisis—turns out subtlety works better. The pixelated maps and tense soundtrack still hold up if you’re into retro strategy. Definitely a niche pick, but it nails that feeling of barely holding things together.
