The first level throws you right into it: you’re jumping over pits, slashing at floating eyeball monsters, and occasionally stumbling upon hidden power-ups that make your attacks glow with magic. The controls are tight, but some enemies take a few hits to go down, so you’ve gotta stay light on your feet. And yeah, the art style is pure early '90s—vibrant, slightly janky, and full of personality.
It’s not as punishing as Ghouls 'n Ghosts, but don’t expect a cakewalk either. There’s something really satisfying about chaining together sword swings and dodging attacks just in time.
