Play Enterprise Online
1990 Amiga space sim featuring open-ended galaxy exploration, trading, and tactical ship combat. Includes dynamic economy and planetary resource systems.

Enterprise came out on the Amiga in 1990, published by Firebird Software. It was one of those space trading and combat sims that felt right at home on the platform, sitting alongside titles like Elite and giving players a big, open galaxy to poke around in. You weren't just flying from one scripted mission to the next; the game built a little universe that kept ticking whether you were there or not.
You pilot a single ship, managing everything from fuel and weapons to cargo and credits. The main goal is to make money, upgrade your vessel, and build a reputation, whether through honest trade, bounty hunting, or smuggling. Key mechanics include navigating star systems with a simple map, engaging in tactical, top-down combat against pirates or police, and buying low and selling high across planets with shifting prices. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical; you spend a lot of time cruising between ports, calculating risks, and preparing for the next encounter. It feels like running a small business in space, where every jump could lead to profit or a desperate fight.
