You pair up with these living weapons called Edel Raids (basically sentient blades with personalities), and figuring out which one clicks with your playstyle is half the fun. I kept switching between the quick dagger types and slower heavy hitters before settling on this mid-range sword that could chain aerial combos.
The pixel art nails the anime’s aesthetic—lots of vibrant colors and those dramatic slashes during special moves. It’s got that classic GBA charm where everything feels just a little crunchy in the best way. And yeah, you can button-mash early on, but later fights punish you for it. Timing counters and managing your partner’s energy meter becomes key. Found myself replaying stages just to nail perfect dodges.
