Game Overview

F1 - World Championship Edition on the Genesis is one of those games that feels faster than it has any right to. The cars look like little rectangles with wheels, but somehow the sense of speed is legit—especially when you barely clip a corner and go spinning into the barriers. Classic '90s chaos.

The AI drivers don’t mess around either. They’ll shove you into the grass if you take a turn too wide, which makes finishing a race without wrecking feel like an actual accomplishment. Tracks are simplified versions of real F1 circuits, but Monaco’s tight streets are still a nightmare in the best way.

It’s rough around the edges (beta life), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about wrestling with the handling. By lap three, you’ll either be hooked or ready to yeet your controller. No in-between.
