You’re still tunneling through dirt, pumping up those weird little monsters until they burst, or luring them under rocks for a quick squish. The controls feel just right, and the chiptune music is as annoyingly catchy as ever.

What surprised me was how well the strategy holds up. You can’t just mash buttons—you gotta think about where to dig, when to trap, and whether to go for the quick kill or play it safe. The Pookas and Fygars still have that derpy charm, and watching them inflate like balloons never gets old. If you ever wasted quarters on this in an arcade, you’ll feel right at home. Even if you didn’t, it’s a weirdly satisfying little time capsule.

Perfect for short bus rides or when you just need to zone out for a few minutes. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the theme song.
