Play Fatal Rewind Online
You control Falcon dodging death traps in a rigged game show, rewinding time when you mess up—but even that won’t save you from the later levels’ brutality.

Game Overview
Fatal Rewind (or The Killing Game Show if you're outside North America) is one of those Genesis games that feels like it should've been way more famous. You play as Falcon, some poor guy forced into a brutal futuristic game show where everything—robots, traps, even the damn walls—wants you dead. The first level throws you right into it: you're jumping over spinning blades, ducking under turret fire, and desperately searching for weapon upgrades before some armored goon corners you.
It's got that perfect '90s difficulty—tough but fair, where memorizing enemy patterns actually matters. The gimmick here is the rewind button, which lets you undo mistakes like falling into a pit or wasting your last rocket. Sounds cheap, but trust me, you'll need it. The later levels get absolutely vicious, and without that rewind, I would've snapped my controller in half by stage three.
What really sticks with me is the atmosphere. The grimy neon visuals, the way Falcon's boots clank on metal catwalks, even the weirdly catchy synth soundtrack—it all sells this dystopian game show vibe. If you like your retro action with a side of tension (and the occasional do-over), this one's a blast.
