Game Overview

Fatman (or Tongue of the Fatman, depending on where you played it) is one of those weird, janky fighting games from the late '80s that somehow made it to the Genesis. You pick from a roster of bizarre characters—like a sumo wrestler who fights with his tongue, because why not—and brawl through side-scrolling stages that feel half-finished but weirdly charming.

The controls are stiff, the hit detection is questionable, and the AI cheats like crazy, but there's something oddly fun about how unapologetically strange it is. You'll spend most fights spamming the same two moves while trying not to fall off the screen, but hey, at least the soundtrack slaps harder than it should. If you're into obscure fighting games with more personality than polish, this might be worth a laugh.
