Game Overview

Final Fight One came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, published by Ubi Soft and developed by Capcom. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles that brought arcade classics to a handheld, letting you carry a chunk of the arcade experience in your pocket. The hardware suited the game's straightforward action, even if the screen felt a little cramped compared to the original cabinet.

You pick one of three characters, like Cody or Haggar, and fight through Metro City's criminal underworld. Your goal is to rescue the mayor's daughter by clearing each screen of enemies before moving to the next. You punch, kick, and throw foes; landing a grapple lets you perform a damaging piledriver or suplex. Special moves drain your health but clear space in a pinch. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can spike sharply on later stages, especially against certain bosses. It feels satisfying to land combos and watch crowds of enemies drop, even with the occasional flicker or slowdown when things get hectic.
