Fire Eaters - Zero Bandits (Beta) GBA is one of those side-scrolling action games where you just keep moving right, dodging bullets, and occasionally stopping to roast enemies with fire breath. The controls feel a little stiff at first, like your character slides a bit after stopping, but you get used to it.
I remember the first level throwing these bandits at you who just stand there shooting, and you have to time your jumps between their shots while closing the distance to burn them. It's simple, but satisfying when you get into a rhythm. The fire-eating mechanic is neat - you hold a button to charge up, then release to unleash a short-range burst.
