Firehawk on the Amiga is one of those games that makes you feel like a one-person war on drugs. You’re handed the keys to a helicopter gunship and told to clean up the mess—blow up drug labs, rescue stranded agents, and generally cause chaos for the bad guys. The top-down flying gives you a nice tactical view of the whole area, but things get tense when you switch to third-person for rescues, carefully lowering your winch while hoping nobody shoots you down.

It’s got that classic Amiga vibe—simple but satisfying, with just enough variety in the missions to keep you coming back. The perspective shift during extractions still feels clever even now. Just don’t expect a leisurely flight—those drug lords don’t mess around.
