First Shapes is one of those classic Amiga games that looks simple at first—just matching colored shapes, right? But there’s something weirdly satisfying about sliding those tiles around, trying to line up triangles and squares before the timer runs out. The colors are bright in that early '90s way, and the music has that chiptune charm. It’s the kind of game you’d play for five minutes and suddenly realize half an hour’s gone.

I remember getting stuck on the later levels where the shapes start moving on their own—annoying at first, but it forces you to think ahead. Not bad for something that probably started as a programming demo.
