Flicky is this weirdly charming little Sega Genesis game where you play as a blue jay trying to rescue her scattered chicks while two jerk cats keep messing everything up. The chicks follow you in a line like ducklings, but if a cat touches them, they panic and scatter—which is equal parts adorable and stressful.
You can grab random household objects (why is there a watering can in the living room?) to bonk the cats unconscious for a few seconds. The physics feel janky in that classic early-90s way, where sometimes you’ll nail a perfect throw across the room, and other times you’ll whiff a hammer toss right in front of a cat’s face. Each level’s layout gets trickier, with more obstacles and places for chicks to get stuck. It’s simple but surprisingly tense when you’re down to your last chick and a cat’s closing in.
Honestly, the cats’ weird, bouncy animations when they’re chasing you never stop being funny.
