Game Overview

Flood is one of those Amiga platformers that sticks with you—mostly because of how weirdly charming it is. You play as Quiffy, this little creature who looks like a cross between a frog and a mop, trying to stop his underground home from drowning. Yeah, turns out he can’t actually swim, which makes the rising water a real problem.

The usual platforming stuff is here—jumping, dodging monsters—but the real tension comes from the flood itself. Water slowly fills each level, forcing you to keep moving upward. And then there’s the ghost of Quiffy’s aunt (because why not?), who follows your exact movements with a creepy delay. Nothing like being chased by your own past mistakes while also racing against a literal tide.

Oh, and Quiffy can stick to walls and ceilings, which helps when you’re panicking and need a second to think. It’s a weird little game, but in the best way possible.
