Full Contact Disk2 came out on the Amiga in 1991, developed by 17-Bit Software and published by Team17. It was a time when the Amiga was full of inventive multiplayer games, and this one fit right in, offering a straightforward, competitive experience without a lot of frills. You could play it alone against the computer, but it was really built for two people in the same room.
You control a small fighter on a single screen, using a joystick to move and attack another player or AI opponent. The main goal is to knock your rival off the platform or deplete their health bar with well-timed strikes. The combat is simple but requires precision; you can punch, kick, and block, with timing and positioning mattering more than complex combos. Matches are fast and can be surprisingly difficult against the AI, which gets tougher as you progress. It feels immediate and physical, a pure test of reflexes against a friend or a stubborn computer foe.
