Fun School Specials - Merlin's Maths_Disk1 is one of those classic Amiga educational games that somehow made learning math feel like an adventure. You’ve got Merlin the wizard guiding you through puzzles and challenges, and even though it’s clearly meant for kids, there’s a weird charm to the pixelated graphics and simple, repetitive gameplay.
At first, it’s just basic arithmetic—addition, subtraction—but the way it’s wrapped in a medieval theme makes it less dry than a textbook. The sound effects are pure Amiga nostalgia, and the difficulty ramps up just enough to keep you from zoning out completely. Not gonna lie, I still remember some of the multiplication drills because of this game.
