You play as Garfield lazily stumbling through TV parodies—snoozing in sarcophagi, raiding fridges, and barely mustering the energy to dodge obstacles while hunting for remote pieces. The whole thing feels like a nap interrupted by weird cartoon channel surfing.
So, Garfield got himself stuck inside the TV—probably fell asleep during one of his 12-hour lasagna binges. Now you’ve gotta guide the world’s laziest cat through six weirdly creative levels to find pieces of a broken remote and zap him back to reality. Of course, he still stops to raid fridges and nap on couches mid-adventure.
What’s cool is how each level feels like its own little movie parody—there’s a noir detective bit with trenchcoat Garfield, an Egyptian tomb crawl (complete with sarcophagus naps), and even a cheesy horror level. The art style shifts completely between them, which was pretty rare for a Genesis game. Just don’t expect him to move faster than a cat who’s heard the can opener at 6am.
It’s goofy, surprisingly polished, and exactly the kind of mess Garfield would get himself into.
