I remember playing Garfield: Caught in the Act on the Sega Genesis back in 1995. It was published by SEGA, and it came out during a time when licensed platformers were everywhere. The game had a certain charm, even if it wasn't the most polished title on the system.
You control Garfield through a series of side scrolling levels, each based on a different TV show parody. Your main goal is to collect pieces of a broken remote control while avoiding enemies and obstacles. Garfield can jump, use a limited melee attack, and sometimes ride on Odie's back for extra mobility. The pacing is a bit slow, which fits his lazy personality, but the levels can get surprisingly tricky. Playing it feels like guiding a sleepy cat through a bizarre, interactive cartoon.
