Play Gekido Advance - Kintaro's Revenge (E)(Squirrels) Online
Pick Tetsuo or another fighter, then dive straight into smashing thugs—every punch feels weighty, and the pixel art still pops. Those branching alleyways mean you might stumble into a totally different boss fight by accident.

Gekido Advance: Kintaro's Revenge came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Naps Team and published by Destination Software. It was part of that wave of early 2000s portable games that tried to bring a console-style beat 'em up experience into your hands, a time when developers were really figuring out what the hardware could do.
You control Tetsuo, a martial artist fighting through urban and rural environments to stop a criminal organization. The game plays out screen by screen; you clear each area of enemies before moving on, using a mix of punches, kicks, and special moves. There's a combo system that lets you chain attacks together, and you can pick up weapons like pipes or knives during fights. The levels branch occasionally, offering some replayability in the route you take. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies that gang up on you quickly. It feels immediate and rough, like a scrappy brawl condensed into a small screen.
