German Trucking_Disk1 is one of those classic Amiga games that makes you appreciate how far truck sims have come—but there's still something oddly charming about it. You start off picking your route (good luck figuring out the German road signs if you're not fluent), and before long, you're wrestling with the physics of a pixelated semi that handles like a shopping cart on ice. The scenery's basic, but there's a weird satisfaction in nailing a tight turn without jackknifing.
Soundtrack's minimal, just the hum of your engine and the occasional honk from AI traffic that seems to actively want to ruin your day. It's janky, but in that nostalgic way where you can't help but grin when you finally deliver your cargo in one piece. Definitely a time capsule of early '90s simulation attempts.
