Play Gradius Generation Online
Your little GBA ship starts weak, but grab power-ups and suddenly you're weaving through bullet hell with orbiting drones and screen-filling lasers. Those branching paths keep throwing wild surprises—one run you're in space, the next you're inside some alien horror show.

Game Overview
Gradius Generation on the GBA is basically a tiny miracle—somehow they crammed all the frantic, neon-lit chaos of the arcade classics into this little cartridge. You start off with that familiar wimpy pea-shooter, but after snagging a few power-ups, suddenly you're this unstoppable death machine with lasers and drones orbiting your ship. The first time your Options start mirroring your shots, it feels like cheating (in the best way).
What surprised me was how good it looks—the GBA shouldn’t be able to handle this many enemies and explosions without chugging, but it somehow holds up. And those branching paths? One minute you're dodging asteroids, the next you're threading through some organic nightmare zone full of pulsating walls. Classic Gradius cruelty, but with just enough new tricks to keep you from feeling like you’ve played it all before.
Fair warning: your thumb will cramp. The Moai heads still suck. And yes, you’ll scream when you die right before the boss and lose all your upgrades. But that’s the deal with Gradius—it hurts so good.
