Play Great Greed Online
You get teleported by a wizard named Microwave, then mash buttons to fight sentient junk food—no menus, just quick A/B attacks before the next mutant veggie takes a swing. Weirdly brilliant for a Game Boy RPG.

Great Greed came out on the Game Boy in 1992 from Namco, a time when handheld RPGs were often simple, condensed adventures. It didn't try to be an epic; it was just this strange, self-contained little world you carried in your pocket. The game had a personality all its own, standing apart from the more serious fantasy titles of the era with its odd sense of humor and unconventional setting.
You control a hero summoned to save the world from pollution, fighting through screen by screen areas against enemies like walking hamburgers and toxic blobs. Your main goal is to cleanse the land by defeating the sources of contamination, which involves exploring, engaging in real time combat where you mash the A and B buttons to attack, and conversing with a cast of bizarre characters. The pacing is brisk, with no traditional menus to slow things down, though some enemy patterns can feel cheap and require memorization. It feels like playing through a weird cartoon where every encounter is a surprise.
