Game Overview
Grimblood is one of those weird, tense Amiga games where you play as Earl Maximus—the only sane guy in a castle full of murderous lunatics. The whole place feels like a gothic horror play where everyone’s lost the script. You click around the castle’s first-person view, watching people do… unsettling things, while the clock keeps ticking. Someone’s getting stabbed the second you look away.
Interrogations are the best part—you pause time and grill suspects with these stiff, dramatic portraits staring back at you. Ask the wrong questions too many times, and the castle’s residents might just toss you out. But if you accuse the killer without a witness? Yeah, that’s a quick way to get a knife in your back. The whole thing’s a balancing act between playing detective and not becoming the next victim.
It’s clunky in that old-school way, but the atmosphere is thick enough to make up for it. You’ll either love the tension or get fed up with the castle’s nonsense.
