Groove Adventure Rave (J)(Eurasia) is one of those GBA games that slipped under the radar, but if you grew up with the Rave Master manga or anime, it’s a total nostalgia trip. You play as Haru, swinging that ridiculous Ten Powers sword through waves of enemies—some of them so goofy you’ll laugh mid-combo. The combat’s simple but satisfying, especially when you pull off those over-the-top special moves that light up the screen.
It’s got that classic 2D side-scrolling feel with just enough RPG sprinkles to keep things interesting—upgrading skills between stages, hunting for hidden Rave Stones, the usual.
