Game Overview
Gunship 2000 was one of those Amiga games that made you feel like a legit helicopter pilot—or at least as close as you could get with a joystick and a CRT monitor. Disk 4 was part of the multi-disk set, and if you were lucky enough to have all of them, you got this deep, tactical sim where every mission felt like a puzzle. You'd juggle fuel, weapons, and terrain while trying not to get blown out of the sky by some hidden SAM site. The graphics were crisp for the time, and the controls? Surprisingly not a nightmare.
I remember spending way too long in the hangar tweaking my loadout before missions, only to realize halfway through that I should’ve brought more flares. Good times.
