Play Hammerin' Harry Online
Swing a comically oversized hammer at rogue construction gear and giant cats—Harry puts his whole body into each ridiculous smash while bystanders panic in the background. Pure chaotic Game Boy joy.

Hammerin' Harry on the Game Boy came out in 1992, developed by Irem. It was one of those side-scrolling action games that felt right at home on the handheld, a straightforward arcade-style experience you could pick up and play in short bursts. The screen-by-screen progression was common for the time, keeping things simple and focused.
You control Harry, a construction worker with a massive hammer, moving through urban stages to reach the exit. Your main goal is to clear each area of enemies, which include aggressive cats, birds, and rival workers. The signature mechanics involve using your hammer to smash foes and break certain blocks; you can also collect power-ups like invincibility or a longer hammer reach. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially with limited continues. It feels satisfying to land those heavy hits and push through the chaos.
