Game Overview
Heliosfera_Disk2 is one of those classic Amiga space trading games where you start with a tiny, barely functional cargo ship and a whole lot of debt—classic. You play as Norton Axalar, who somehow cheated death and now has to claw his way up the merchant guild ranks by hauling ore, gambling in sketchy space casinos, and praying your ship doesn’t get blown to bits mid-flight.
The trading part is straightforward—buy low, sell high, try not to get robbed—but the real tension comes from the arcade-style travel segments. Between planets, you’re thrown into a side-scrolling shooter where enemy ships swarm you, and if you don’t make it to the landing zone, that’s it. Game over. No second chances. The first time I lost a full cargo hold to a lucky pirate shot, I nearly threw my joystick.
You can upgrade your ship (if you scrape together enough credits), take out loans (terrible idea), and even run into random events like bandit raids. It’s janky in that old-school way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about barely surviving a trade run with half your hull intact. Just don’t bet your last credits on black.
