Hoi Disk2 came out in 1992 for the Amiga, developed by Hollyware Entertainment. It was one of those platformers that felt right at home on the system, with colorful graphics and a cheerful, if slightly odd, premise. You don't see many games starring a friendly dinosaur with a jetpack, even back then.
You control Hoi, a small green dinosaur, and guide him through five distinct levels. Your main goal is simply to reach the end of each stage, but the journey is filled with moving platforms, deep water sections that require SCUBA gear, and maze-like layouts that demand careful navigation. The jetpack allows for short bursts of flight to cross wide gaps or avoid enemies, while the underwater segments change the pacing entirely, slowing everything down. The difficulty comes from precision jumps and those sudden, deadly drops; one wrong move sends you back to the start. It feels like a cheerful, sometimes frustrating, trip through a brightly colored obstacle course.
