Ilyad is one of those Amiga shooters that sticks with you—mostly because everything about it feels huge. Your ship zips through these wild, time-hopping levels (you’re fighting in prehistory one minute, medieval castles the next), and the sprites are so chunky you’ll swear they’re about to burst off the screen. Baron Arkhon’s time-warping nonsense gives the whole thing this weird, epic vibe.

The power-ups are where it gets fun—you’ve got your usual speed tweaks, but the shot upgrades like the triple-trigger Bustar or the screen-filling Leitun turn your little ship into a bullet hose. And those bosses? Massive. Like, "spend half the fight just figuring out where to aim" massive. The soundtrack’s got this driving synth thing going that somehow makes blasting dinosaurs with lasers feel even cooler.

It’s not the deepest shooter out there, but the sheer scale and that time-travel twist make it worth a play if you dig the Amiga’s brand of chaos.
