Izzy's Quest was a Sega Genesis release from 1994, developed by Alexandria and published by Electronic Arts. It was based on the 1996 Atlanta Olympics mascot, which made it one of those odd, late-era platformers that tried to capitalize on a license rather than build something entirely new.

You control Izzy, a blue creature with stars for eyes, navigating side-scrolling levels by running, jumping, and throwing a boomerang at enemies like boxing kangaroos and eagles. The main goal is to collect five Olympic rings hidden in each stage to progress. Key mechanics include bouncing on large trampolines for extra height and grabbing temporary power-ups, like a super jump or invincibility. The pacing is slow, the platforming is floaty and imprecise, and the level design often feels confusing and empty. It feels like playing a game that was rushed out the door to meet a deadline.
