You get three solid courses—Sherwood, English Turn, and Baltusrol—each with their own quirks, like those sneaky water hazards that always seem to catch my ball when I get cocky.
It’s got the usual stroke play, but the real fun is in skins mode with friends. Nothing like watching someone choke on a short putt while you’re all crowded around the TV. They cut the course editor from the PC version, which is a bummer, but the driving range and practice mode help you dial in your swing before you embarrass yourself in a real match.
Wind actually matters here, and the greens roll faster than you’d expect—took me a few rounds to stop overshooting everything. Still holds up if you’re into that old-school golf sim vibe.
