You play as Jimmy Neutron, the boy genius, in a story where he has to stop his evil robotic double, Negatron, from causing chaos in Retroville.
You control Jimmy through side scrolling levels, jumping across platforms and avoiding enemies. Your main goal is to progress through each stage, defeating Negatron's minions and eventually confronting him. You use a blaster to shoot enemies and collect gadgets that help you solve environmental puzzles, like activating switches or clearing obstacles. The game moves at a steady pace, with some tricky jumps and enemy patterns that keep you alert. It feels like a straightforward, energetic run and gun adventure with just enough brain teasing to stay interesting.
