Jurassic Park III: Island Attack came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Mobile21 and published by Konami. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the GBA, a pocket sized adventure you could take anywhere, with visuals that made decent use of the hardware for its time. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, just offered a solid, straightforward action experience based on the film.

You control a character trying to survive and escape Isla Sorna after a plane crash. The main objective is to navigate through jungle and facility environments, find key items, and avoid or fight off various dinosaurs. The gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, using a limited supply of tranquilizer darts and other weapons to subdue threats, and solving simple environmental puzzles to progress. The pacing is fairly tense, as you're often low on ammo and forced to sneak past certain enemies, and the smaller dinosaurs like Compsognathus are persistent nuisances that chip away at your health. It feels like a constant, careful scramble for survival where every dart counts.
