Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition came out in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that wave of movie tie-ins that tried to do something a little different, rather than just rehashing the film scene by scene. This one stood out for giving players a chance to cause some real mayhem, not just run from it.

You can choose to play as Dr. Grant or a velociraptor, each with their own objectives and abilities. Grant uses a tranquilizer gun and has to rescue survivors, while the raptor tears through InGen soldiers with claws and leaps. The game is structured mission by mission, with large, open levels that encourage exploration and multiple routes. It’s known for being quite difficult, with limited resources and aggressive enemies. Controlling the raptor especially has a unique, slippery feel that takes some getting used to, but once it clicks, it’s a blast to just run wild and cause chaos.
