Play Kaijuu Ou Godzilla (Japan) Online
Tiny Godzilla, big destruction—just stomp through pixel cities, swat planes, and brawl with monsters in that janky, satisfying Game Boy way.

I picked up Kaijuu Ou Godzilla for the Game Boy back in 1990, a game published by Toho. It was one of those portable titles that tried to capture the monster movie feel on a small screen, typical of the era when licensed games were often simple and direct. You didn't expect much beyond some basic action, and that's pretty much what you got.
You control Godzilla, moving screen by screen through cityscapes, destroying buildings and fighting off military forces. Your main goal is to defeat other monsters like King Ghidorah, which appear as boss encounters. The gameplay involves straightforward combat, using Godzilla's tail and breath attacks to clear enemies and obstacles. The pacing is methodical, almost slow, and the difficulty can feel uneven with some frustrating enemy patterns. It feels like a straightforward, no frills adaptation of smashing things as a giant monster.
