Play Kamikaze Online
1990 Amiga vertical shooter. Pilot a fighter with unlimited cannon and limited bombs. Battle enemy planes, tanks, and installations. Features power-ups, bosses, and two-player co-op.

Kamikaze came out on the Amiga in 1990 from Codemasters, a publisher known for a lot of budget titles at the time. It was a vertical scrolling shooter, a genre that was well established by then, and it fit right in with the kind of straightforward, action focused games you'd pop in for a quick session.
You pilot a fighter plane, scrolling upward automatically while firing a constant stream of cannon shots and dropping a limited supply of bombs on everything below. Enemy fighters dive at you, ground vehicles fire upward, and installations like radar dishes and gun emplacements fill the screen with projectiles. The main objective is simply to survive as long as possible, destroying everything in your path, collecting power ups for better weapons, and facing a boss ship at the end of each stage. The pacing is relentless, the difficulty steep, with enemy fire quickly becoming overwhelming. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble to dodge bullets and return fire.
