Play Kill Switch Online
Duck behind crates, pop out to take shots—somehow this GBA port pulls off full 3D firefights with a janky-but-addictive cover system. Feels like a tech demo that accidentally became playable.

Kill Switch came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Namco. It was a time when developers were really pushing what the handheld could do, especially with 3D and action games, and this one stood out for trying something different. It didn't get a lot of attention, but it had a specific, almost experimental feel that made it memorable for those who found it.
You control a soldier navigating through hostile, industrial environments, using a cover system as your main defense. The goal is to advance through each area, clearing enemies by popping out from behind barriers to shoot. The mechanics are built around blind firing from safety and timing your exposures carefully; it's a methodical, screen-by-screen process rather than a run-and-gun. The difficulty comes from managing your limited visibility and enemy flanking, making every push forward tense. It feels deliberate and a little clunky, but satisfying when a plan comes together.
