Play King Salmon (Japan) Online
You wrestle giant salmon that yank your boat around—dodge their thrashing while reeling them in, and try not to lose your line in the chaos. The two-player mode is just you and a friend getting tangled up while these massive fish drag you both across the screen.

Game Overview
King Salmon is one of those weird little Genesis games that makes you go, "Wait, this is about what?" at first. You're basically a tiny fisherman going up against these absurdly huge salmon—some of them take up half the screen, and they'll thrash around like they're trying to flip your boat. The controls are simple (just reel and dodge), but the chaos is real when a fish starts dragging you across the water.
The pixel art has that perfect early '90s SEGA vibe—bright colors, exaggerated animations—and the music somehow makes fishing feel intense. My first time playing, I lost three lines in a row to the same fish before realizing you gotta let them tire out first. There's a two-player mode too, which turns into a hilarious mess of tangled lines and shouting.
It's not deep, but it's the kind of game you keep coming back to when you want something quick and ridiculous. That salmon with the angry eyebrows haunts my dreams.
