Korodice was a Game Boy release from 1990, developed by a small team whose name I can never quite recall. It arrived during that period when developers were really starting to push what the handheld could do beyond simple arcade ports, experimenting with more strategic and puzzle-oriented designs.
You control a single character, a gambler moving from table to table in a shadowy casino. The main objective is to win a set number of rounds by rolling a higher total than your opponent. Your key tools are the ability to lock one of your two dice after the first roll, and the option to force your opponent to reroll one of theirs, a move that can spectacularly backfire. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense, as you calculate odds and wait for the perfect moment to strike or defend. It feels like a high-stakes bluff where every decision carries weight.
